Madrona WORKSHOP!! Patching/Darning jeans and denim. October 15th Wed , 6-7.30ish pm

Patching and Darning/Customizing Jeans! OUR Second MADRONA WORKSHOP!!

GET READY TO MAKE YOUR CLOSET LOOK COOL!!

Ever bought a pair of jeans from a thrift store that had a little tear in them? Now you wont have to pay the pros at Madrona Wear to fix them, instead, we can show you how to do it all on your own!! Remember folks, knowledge is power!!

Class starts at 6pm Wednesday the 15th of October. We will be in the workshop till roughly 7:30pm. Possibly going till 8pm if people need a little more time.

While the main focus will be denim, we will also explain how to patch and repair other garments as well.

The first 3 classes we offer will all be $25/person. After that, all of our classes will be closer to $45 per class. Get a head start on your sewing with this great deal!

Atmosphere:

This second class is mostly gonna be just a fun and chill. We will be using some home machines, and probably a couple industrial sewing machines as well depending on class size. We will be first demonstrating 2-3 different methods of patching jeans/shorts, and then we will show you how to do the some darning with a home sewing machine as well! This is a great method for fixing holes without needing to apply a patch externally. We will also be talking about thread tension, and ironing, marking tools and cutting properly. Lots of great skills packed into this class.

What you need to bring:

  • 1-2 pairs of jeans you want to fix or mend, or a friends. If you have none, we will supply you!

  • maybe a snack and water bottle

We can offer refunds for classes at this time, but you must notify us 72 hours in advance, so before you sign up please make sure it makes sense with your schedule!
