DIY TOTE BAG.
I think that one of the best things about sewing is the ability to sew really practical things for yourself and friends. Tote bags are a great entry way into the sewing world, while also being incredibly useful. We plan on using 12 OZ cotton canvas and woven straps for making the bags. And if time allows we may be able to do some cool customizations.
Workshop starts at 2pm on the 8th of November. We will likely be meeting at Madrona Wear 750 East holly, but if there is a change to the location we will make sure to let everyone know!
Atmosphere:
Fun and very full of learning, fast paced and moving along at a good pace. Lots of learning packed into this workshop. Using different types of stitches, and showing you the basics of constructing three dimensional items! We will supply the materials, but if you have any fun patches, or small pieces of meaningful fabric, feel free to bring it and we MAY be able to integrate it into the bag.
What you need to bring:
If you own a home sewing machine that you know how to use, then you should bring that, extra needles, and bobbins. If you have thread that you like to use you can bring that.
Any patches you may want on your tote. Not required.
